The best things to do in Mui Ne

On the southern coastline of Vietnam, there’s a surfers village called Mui Ne. Most of the time there is the wind and a good amount of waves, which makes it the perfect spot for surfers.

Mui Ne is just a 4-hour train ride away from Ho Chi Minh but it feels like you’re visiting a different country. It’s the place-to-go to escape the hectic Vietnam.

1. Go Kite Surfing

Kitesurfing is a big deal in Mui Ne. Locals or travelers all enjoying the wind and waves.There are a lot of kitesurfing shops where you can rent equipment. We have to warn you, the price of kitesurfing in Mui Ne is the same back home in Holland.

2. Visit the Red and White sand dunes

The White but also the red sand dunes are a must visit near Mui Ne. It’s a tiny piece of desert in Vietnam, which gives you a whole different view of the country. Rent a scooter or arrange a tour and go watch the sunset on the top of a dune. You even can rent a quad and drive up to the dune tops.

3. Fairy Spring

A pretty place to visit near Mui Ne is the Fairy Spring. There weren’t any fairies but you can walk through the stream of water along the brown yellow mountain landscape. You can leave your walking shoes at home since you’re going to walk through the water.
