Australia Cruises

A sprawling island nation with a sunburnt heart, Australia’s coastline alone is home to a myriad of discoveries.

Sail the high seas, inlets and beautiful harbours to discover stunning cosmopolitan cities, spectacular islands and some of the best beaches in the world. Cruise past world-famous gems such the colourful Great Barrier Reef, sparkling Sydney Harbour and unique Fraser Island, the largest sand island on the planet. From sipping cocktails in swish harbour-front bars to swimming with wild dolphins, Australia is waiting.

For Families

Family friendly fun is easy to come by in Australia – and many of it revolves around the great outdoors and fascinating local wildlife. Get up close and cuddly with Koalas in Brisbane, snorkel alongside colourful marine life around the Whitsunday Islands, or stand back and gaze from afar at mighty crocodiles in Darwin. Take the kids to the famous Gold Coast theme parks or let them splash around in shady sheltered bays. There’s something for everyone, young and old.

For Couples

Honeymoon or not, Aussie shores bestow romance upon even the most unsuspecting twosomes. Settle in for a magical sunset picnic at Cable Beach in Broome, take a scenic flight over the Whitsundays’ heart-shaped reef, or scale Sydney Harbour Bridge at night to catch the city sparkling below. Away from the water, you could take a quick drive inland to discover the quaint towns and waterfalls of the Daintree Rainforest, or join a taste-testing tour of the Barossa Valley wineries.

Getting Around

There are many ways to take in the sights during stops along Australian shores. Hire cars are great for the flexibility and freedom they offer, but in the capital cities, you’ll also have everything from buses and trains to trams and catamarans to help you navigate the sights. For specific excursions or smaller ports, tours are a great way to fit in as much as possible with the help of a knowledgeable guide to show the way.

Local Tip

Sport is a favourite pastime for Australians, both playing on the field and watching from the couch. Football in particular draws a passionate crowd, so if you’re around in time for a game, head to a local bar to get a piece of the atmosphere and mingle with the locals. If you happen to be in the right place at the right time, you might even be able to score some tickets to the actual match. Rugby League is best in Brisbane and Sydney, while AFL is most popular in Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.
