More Russian capacity to Bali by year-end
AIR capacity between the Russian Federation and Bali is set to receive a shot in the arm from end-2010.
Aeroflot Russian Airlines has received approval to launch direct twice-weekly services from Moscow to Denpasar while Transaero Airlines current twice-weekly B747-400 charter services from Moscow to Denpasar will be converted to scheduled flights.
No announcement has been made about the aircraft type that will be deployed by Aeroflot, whose longhaul fleet includes the Ilyushin IL-96 and Airbus A330.
This capacity injection comes just in time to cope with peak Russian outbound travel to beach destinations in the final week of December and early January.
