Mandala starts Hong Kong service
INDONESIA’s low-cost carrier Mandala Airlines commenced four-times weekly flights between Jakarta and Hong Kong on July 19, using an Airbus 319 with 144 seats.
Thrice-weekly services to Macau, using the same aircraft type, will follow on on July 21.
Mandala Airlines president - director Diono Nuryadin expects an 85 per cent load factor on the Hong Kong service within three months of operation.
The carrier now offers four regional services, including flights from Jakarta to Singapore and Balikpapan launched last June.
