New air link between Xi'an and Kuala Lumpur
MALAYSIAN outbound agents welcomed Shenzhen Airlines' four weekly Xi'an-Shenzhen-Kuala Lumpur service, which began yesterday.
Malaysian Harmony Tours & Travel used to face difficulty getting confirmation in the domestic sector from Shenzhen to Xi'an.
CEO Cooper Huang said the new link was opportune as China's spring season was a preferred travel period for Malaysians going to China.
PYOTravel.com senior manager (operations) John Chan said his company would increase its promotions on China, with emphasis on Shenzhen and Xi'an, to take advantage of the additional capacity.
The Xi'an to Kuala Lumpur route is the third opened by Shenzhen Airlines, after five years of operations in Malaysia. Shenzhen and Nanning constitute the other two.
There are 125 weekly direct flights, with 25,154 seats, between China and Malaysia.
