VIETRAVEL LAO CAI EXTENDED COMPASSION TO SAN SA HO I

On 28 December 2013 Vietravel Lao Cai joined by philanthropists organized a trip for charity at Sansaho hamlet of Sapa District. This was the first departure of the charity series “Spring for Compassion” conducted by Vietravel Lao Cai.

Vietravel charity programs combine touring experience with philanthropist activities aiming at children and junior schools in mountain provinces of the Far North like Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Lai Chau and Cao Bang. The program was started by Vietravel Lao Cai from 2013 winter.

The tour group to Sansaho I this time consist of more than 40 expats coming back to Vietnam on their vacation. The group visited the cultural village of the ethnic H’mong in Cat Cat and met the pupils in Sansaho I Junior School. Vietravel and the tourists handed over to the children gifts including sweaters, gloves, boots, caps. They also offered over 4 million dongs for the school to buy needed stationery for the children.

Understanding that children are the next generation of the country and that their teachers and families are taking a great responsibility for them, Vietravel hoped that these useful activities would help not only the children in the mountain provinces but also share the difficulty with their teachers and families.

Tourists coming to the village to experience the life and share the compassion to the people in need. That was a meaningful journey that connected people. Vietravel hoped the program could be expanded to a larger scale.
